oSamsung has published the ninth beta for One UI 6, its long-awaited Android 14 skin. Previously, it had been suggested that Samsung would end its One UI 6 beta program following Beta 7, where it introduced various bug fixes. Surprisingly, One UI 6 Beta 9 clocks in at nearly 500 MB as an over-the-air (OTA) update, albeit with bug fixes again.
Despite publishing more beta builds this some around than its peers, @UniverseIce alleges that even more have been issued internally. Reportedly, One UI 6 Beta has exceeded 40 internal builds, underlining the extent of its software development. Additionally, Samsung has bundled the October 1 2023 security patch within One UI Beta 9, which a Samsung Community moderator claims will ship with stable builds.
According to the same moderator, Samsung is finally ready to wind up its One UI 6 Beta program, with stable builds being prepared for as early as next week. However, Samsung may not have a firm One UI 6 release schedule yet, unlike previous years. For reference, while Samsung has not disclosed what changes the security patch makes, Google outlines all Common Vulnerability and Exposures (CVEs) fixes it in its latest Android Security Bulletin.
