Hisense launches new U6N Mini-LED ULED 4K smart TV with Dolby Vision
The Hisense U6N Mini-LED ULED 4K Google TV Series has arrived in the US. The range includes four screen sizes from 55” to 85” and arrives alongside the U8N and U7N models. The LCD TV has a 3,840 x 2,160 px resolution and a native 60Hz refresh rate, lower than the 144Hz seen for the U8N. Accordingly, the motion rate is also reduced to 240Hz rather than 480Hz.
The U6N’s Mini-LED displays have up to 600 nits brightness, with the range-topping 85” model having 512 local dimming zones. For a side-by-side comparison, the 55” U6N has 550 nits peak brightness and 160 zones, compared to 1,500 nits and 672 zones for the 55” U8N. The TV supports technologies like Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos, and offers a Filmmaker Mode. Game Mode Plus brings VRR and ALLM, and there are integrated 20W and 30W stereo speakers, depending on the model size. Plus, you can remotely adjust the device with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice controls.
You can now buy the Hisense U6N Mini-LED ULED 4K Google TV in 55”, 65”, 75” and 85” sizes for $599.99, $799.99, $1,199.99, and $1,799.99, respectively. The TV is expected to be sold under the name U68N in Canada shortly. Plus, the model has also appeared in Spain under the name U6NQ. The only major difference is that the U6NQ runs on VIDAA 7.6, whereas the U6N and U68N use Google TV. The release date and pricing for Canada, Spain and other countries has yet to be unveiled.
