Hisense announces new PX3-Pro triple laser UST projector pricing
Hisense has revealed the launch date and pricing for the PX3-Pro ultra short throw projector in the US. The new model was shown at IFA 2023 as a successor to the 2023 PX2-Pro. Improvements with the latest model include a higher peak brightness and enhanced audio.
The PX3-Pro is a 4K ( 3,840 x 2,160 px) resolution projector with a triple laser light source for up to 3,000 ANSI lumens brightness, meaning you can use it to watch TV in a brighter room. This makes it 25% brighter than the PX2, which was capped at 2,400 ANSI lumens brightness. You can use the projector to throw images between 80 and 150 inches (~200 and 380 cm) wide, and Google TV lets you stream content from popular services like Disney+, Netflix and Amazon Prime. According to Hisense, the model provides 110% coverage of the BT.2020 color space and supports Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced and HDR10+. On top of that, the device has a 50W front-firing sound system from Harman Kardon, compatible with Dolby Atmos, an upgrade on the 15W speakers in its predecessor.
Other features include a range of ports like HDMI (4K@60Hz) and Ethernet, automatic keystone correction, and support for polarized 3D content. The Hisense PX3-Pro ultra-short-throw projector will launch in the US sometime in Q3 2024, with an RRP of $3,499.99. Whether or when the model could arrive in other markets remains to be seen.
