MagyarPhilips announces new Screeneo UL5 ultra short throw laser projector
Philips has announced the Screeneo UL5 smart projector, which will soon begin crowdfunding on Indiegogo. The model follows older models like the Screeneo S4 and the Screeneo U5, which launched last year. According to the product teaser page, the device has a full HD 1080p resolution with support for HDR10 and a maximum recommended image size of 120 inches (~300 cm).
The Screeneo UL5 has an ultra-short throw ratio of 0:23:1, allowing you to cast a 100-inch (~250) from 20 inches (~50 cm) away. The DLP projector's triple RGB laser light source delivers up to 550 ANSI lumens brightness and vivid colors with 108% Rec.2020 color space coverage. Other features include an automatic focusing tool, dual-band Wi-Fi and Android-based LuminOS, allowing you to download popular streaming apps. You can connect gadgets via various ports like HDMI 2.1, USB-A and USB-C. Plus, Philips indicates that the projector has been designed to be portable, measuring 94 x 86.6 x 206 mm (~3.7 x 3.4 x 8.1 inches) and weighs around 2.2 lbs (~1 kg).
It is unclear when the Philips Screeneo UL5 smart projector's Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign will launch and how much the device will cost. However, the company claims that its product has an "affordable price", and those who sign up to receive emails will be offered a 40% discount on the projector at launch.
