XGIMI RS 10 Pro brighter smart home projector now available
XGIMI has launched the RS 10 Pro projector in China. The model joins the existing RS 10 Ultra and the RS 10 Mini, which arrived earlier this year and the recently launched RS 10. The laser’s triple laser light source is said to provide up to 3,000 CVIA or 2,450 ISO lumens brightness, making it brighter than the standard model, which peaks at 1,950 CVIA lumens.
The RS 10 Pro has a 4K resolution with a 1.2:1 throw ratio, casting images up to 150 inches (~380 cm) wide. According to XGIMI, the DLP projector covers 110% of the BT.2020 color space, with a 1,600:1 contrast ratio, and HDR 10 and HLG support. Another upgrade over the RS 10 is the addition of IMAX Enhanced for greater contrast and more vibrant colors. To perfect the image, you can use motorized focus and the device will automatically pan and tilt to find the optimal position for the picture. Other features include 64GB storage, ports including HDMI eARC and a pair of built-in 12W speakers from Harman Kardon.
You can now buy the XGIMI RS 10 Pro projector in China for 7,999 yuan (~$1,110); the product will retail for 8,599 yuan (~$1,190) in the future. It remains to be seen whether or when the projector could arrive in other markets like the US, where the company already sells devices like the Horizon Ultra.
