XGIMI has launched the RS 10 Mini projector in China. The new product looks similar to the new XGIMI HORIZON Max, also known as the RS 10 Ultra. Like the Max, the Mini projector has a gimbal, allowing 140° pitch and 360° pan, letting you to use various walls and ceilings in your home.
The RS 10 Mini uses its gimbal to provide real-time surface correction, with other features provided via XGIMI Eagle Eye. This technology includes 3D ToF sensors and a CMOS camera module for image-perfecting tools such as automatic screen alignment, obstacle avoidance and wall color adaptation. The projector has Dual Light 2.0, enabling you to choose between two triple laser light sources: one has eye protection, while the other does not. The light source delivers up to 800 CVIA or ISO lumens brightness, with the projector covering 110% of the BT.2020 color space and supporting HDR10 and HLG.
Other features include MEMC motion smoothing, the GMUI 6.0 OS, voice controls, and a built-in 24W sound system compatible with Dolby Audio and DTS-HD. Plus, you can wirelessly screencast via Wi-Fi or physically connect gadgets via HDMI 2.0 (ARC) and USB 2.0 ports. The projector is compact and portable, with a hidden handle. You can pre-order the XGIMI RS 10 Mini Projector in China for 3,699 yuan (~$520). Whether or when the product could launch in other markets like North America or Europe remains to be determined.
