CES 2024 | New TCL Q Class TVs unveiled with up to 5,000 nits brightness
TCL has announced its 2024 Q Class 4K TVs at CES. The models include the Q6, the Q6-Pro, the QM7 and the QM8, with Quantum Dot Technology for richer colors. The Q6, available in sizes from 43-in to 98-in, uses the High Brightness Plus LED Backlight for greater color volume. Features for gamers include Game Accelerator 120 for the smaller models, or a native 120Hz refresh rate panel and Game Accelerator 240 for the models measuring 85-in and above.
The Q6-Pro, brand new for 2024, has full array local dimming with a peak brightness of 600 nits. Available in sizes from 50-in to 85-in, the device has a backlit remote or can be controlled with voice commands. The QM7 is another Mini LED model with over 1,500 dimming zones. This model has a higher maximum brightness of 2,400 nits, with a 120Hz refresh rate across all sizes from 55-in to 98-in. Other features include Game Accelerator 240, an integrated 2.1ch speaker system and support for HDR ULTRA with Dolby Vision IQ.
The range-topping QM8 range has over 5,000 dimming zones and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. On top of the features of the QM7, the model has an anti-glare screen, Wi-Fi 6 and an upgraded 2.1.2ch speaker system. Also announced at CES was the gigantic 115-in QD Mini LED TV. The release dates and pricing for the 2024 TCL Q Class TVs have yet to be announced. To give you an idea, you can buy the 2023 TCL 55-inch Q7 QLED 4K TV at Amazon for $598.
