BenQ X300G 4K gaming projector now available with free game
The BenQ X300G portable gaming projector is now available in the US. The product was announced last year as a 4K HDR short throw model. Customers in the US can buy the device for $1,799, with the offer of a free game with purchases made before January 31st. You can choose between physical or digital copies of the following titles for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch:
- Alan Wake 2
- Baldur's Gate 3
- Resident Evil 4
- Spider-Man 2 (Playstation Exclusive)
- Super Mario Bros Wonder (Nintendo Switch Exclusive)
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
The X300G has an LED light source, generating up to 2,000 ANSI lumens brightness. Plus, the projector covers 84% of the DCI-P3 color space and 95% of the Rec. 709 color space with support for HDR-PRO. A 0.69-0.83 throw ratio allows you to project a 120-in (~305 cm) image from 1.5 to 1.8 m (~5.0 to 6.0 ft). For gaming, you can choose from three modes: FPS, RPG or SPG. The input lag is 4.2ms with a 1080p@240Hz input or 16.7ms at a 4K@60Hz resolution, and you can connect gadgets via ports including HDMI (2.0b/HDCP2.2/eARC), USB-A 2.0 and USB-C DP.
Other features include wireless screen-casting via Apple AirPlay or Google Chromecast, automatic focus, 3D keystone correction, motorized zoom and two 8W speakers with CinematicSound technology. The portable gadget measures 212 x 180.9 x 194.8 mm (~8.3 x 7.1 x 7.7-in) and weighs 3 kg (~6.6 lbs). The BenQ X300G projector is expected to launch shortly in the UK and the EU for £1,599/€1,799. Whether the company will offer a similar deal in this region remains to be seen.
