The Dangbei Atom Laser Projector is now available at Amazon in various countries. The device is on sale in the US for $749, thanks to a $150 coupon against the $899 RRP; this is the same deal currently offered at the Dangbei online store. In EU countries like France and Germany, a €150 coupon lowers the price from €999 to €849. Plus, a product listing for the device has also appeared in the UK, though it is currently unavailable.
The Atom was unveiled in December and shown at CES 2024. The 1080p model is the first laser projector from the brand to feature Google TV, providing a wide range of apps, including Netflix, YouTube and Disney+. The ALPD laser light source delivers up to 1,200 ISO lumens brightness, and you can throw images up to 180-in (~457 cm) wide with support for HDR10+. You can perfect the image with autofocus, keystone correction, screen fit and obstacle avoidance tools. Other features include Google Assistant voice commands, Chromecast wireless screen-casting and a built-in 10W speaker system supporting Dolby Audio.
The product is relatively compact at 1.87-in (~47.50 mm) thick and weighs 2.82 lbs (~1.28 kg), making it lighter than the average laptop. It is unclear how long these deals will last or precisely when the model will go on sale in the UK.
