Skylight has devised a solution for those who are unsatisfied with their calendar app on their smartphone, but also have no desire to use paper calendars: the Calendar Max. The device's hardware is quite straightforward, consisting of a 27-inch touchscreen in 16:9 format with a resolution of 2560 x 1440.
Using the wall bracket supplied, the panel can be hung on the wall either in portrait or landscape mode and connected to a power socket. Once functional, the Calendar Max displays a calendar that assigns entries to household members by color. This is intended to make it easier to keep track of which appointments are pending for each household member.
The Calendar Max can also display windows in which pending household chores can be shown and allocated to household members, as well as weather forecasts and a 'To Do' list. All entries can be seen and managed by multiple users from the corresponding smartphone app. A sleep mode ensures that the panel is switched on and off automatically at preset times.
Price and availability
The Skylight Calendar Max is offered in the US with a plastic frame for $599 or an aluminum frame for $629. The manufacturer has not confirmed any details about a possible launch in Europe. Further information about the Calendar Max can be found on the official product page.
