Kohler did not launch a new smart toilet at CES this year, but we have the next best thing: the new PureWash E930 bidet toilet seat that effectively transforms your commode into a high-end luxury smart toilet for less than a quarter of the cost. In addition, Kohler also launched a splendid SpaViva hand shower accessory, as well as a couple of smart tech gadgets to spice up your bathroom.
PureWash E930 bidet toilet seat
Kohler's new toilet seat comes in the same slim, elongated design as older versions, but is the first to be compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing the user to warm up the toilet seat, adjust the water temperature and pressure and activate the air dryer or spray via simple voice commands. Users can also personalize their preferences with a handheld remote control or the Kohler Konnect app.
Just below the PureWash bidet toilet seat's contactless opening lies a stainless steel wand that automatically cleans the toilet seat via UV lighting. There's also a night-light to keep the inside of the bowl illuminated.
The PureWash E930 toilet seat has a list price of $2149 and is currently discounted to $1289 on Kohler's website. It's by no means cheap, but when compared to the outrageous list price of the Numi 2.0 in the US, it's by far the more affordable option.

At Kohler's show floor the SpaViva hand shower was a delightful sight. Kohler's new shower head consists of a spinning top with accessories for exfoliating, massaging and pumice scrubbing.
The spray itself combines Kohler's Katalyst air-induction technology for heat retention with a microbubble spray to deliver a shower that promises an at-home spa experience. A lot of shower heads make the same promise (such as the Purebble microbubble shower head) but if the SpaViva works just as Kohler advertised, it might just be the bathroom accessory to actually pull off the spa experience.
Kohler's SpaViva hand shower starts at $249
Kohler's first smart fan is the $266 Atmo, launching this year at CES 2024. It combines LED lighting and smart cooling that allows users to customize their preferred default fan speeds.
Like the Vornado 660 air circulator($109 on Amazon) and most other smart fans available, Kohler's Atmo is voice activated and compatible with Alexa and Google Home. However, the Atmo smart fan is also capable of gauging the temperature and humidity in the room and can automatically kick in if the bathroom gets too hot or humid.
The Atmo smart fans will be publicly available in Q1 of 2024.
First launched in 2022, Kohler's Anthem shower valves and controls have just received an upgrade. The new Anthem Plus digital shower controller now supports up to twelve shower heads allows full control of sound, lighting and steam via a touchscreen interface.
The Anthem Plus also connects to the Kohler Konnect app for customizing user preferences for various scenarios. Nine presets are available (early morning, bedtime, post-workout, e.t.c) and the Anthem valves are compatible with smart home hubs such as Alexa and Google Home.
Kohler is expected to sell the new Anthem Plus for $2800 by February this year.
