Vovo has announced the $4,999 Neo smart toilet (TCB 090SA) as a 2026 CES Innovation Award Honoree in the smart home category.
The intelligent toilet comes with the ability to monitor and display the health status of users in real-time on a digital display thanks to its built-in urine analysis sensor. While the sensor is not the same as a lab urinalysis, the toilet has the potential to detect simple changes in urine output and the like, which can signal declining health.
The Neo also tracks daily usage and can be set to alert family members when someone has not used the toilet in the past 8 or more hours. The company says this feature can be particularly useful when monitoring seniors, since some have kidney issues, diabetes, or other health concerns.
The smart toilet comes equipped with expected conveniences, including an auto-open/close lid, a heated seat, a self-cleaning heated-water bidet, and a warm air dryer. The Neo also senses the length of time users have been on the throne to automatically set the amount of water to be used with each flush. The toilet will automatically deodorize the air as well.
Readers using conventional toilets without automatic deodorizers might want to consider using the One-Drop deodorizer sold on Amazon.
