Luna Glass delivers night vision to the visually impaired

The waitlist for the Luna Glass AR glasses is now open, with 500 slots available for the upcoming batch expected to ship in the first quarter of 2026. The glasses provide the visually impaired with an enhanced image of their surroundings at night and in dark environments, allowing them to safely see and navigate.
The Luna Glass enhances the brightness and contrast of images captured by the built-in camera in real-time. Using common augmented reality technology, the enhanced images are projected in front of the wearer's eyes using half mirrors. The mirrors allow those with limited night vision, due to issues such as glaucoma and macular degeneration, to see reality and the enhanced image simultaneously.
Although the ability to see better at night will vary depending on the condition of each individual, the CEO says that the glasses can potentially help those with as little as 10% vision remaining see better at night. This expands the hours during which they can safely go out on their own while allowing them to see details they would not normally see. The Luna Glass has a runtime of 1.0 to 1.5 hours and can be powered through a USB-C power bank for longer runtimes.
The glasses appear to use LentinAR's PinTILT optical module, which is also used in the Dynabook and NTT AR glasses.
