Transparent Nothing AI glasses to launch with LEDs and cameras

According to the latest information from Bloomberg, Nothing is currently developing smart AI glasses equipped with cameras, microphones and speakers. These glasses are said to offer a range of AI features, but they are dependent on a connection to a smartphone and the internet, as requests are processed on a server instead of directly on the glasses.
Smart glasses with personalized AI functions have long since arrived on the mass market, not least thanks to the Meta Ray-Ban Gen 2. Nothing is intended to set itself apart from the competition with its unusual design. Similar to the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro ($499 on Amazon), the smart glasses are said to have a partially transparent housing and LED lighting, which could make them an interesting fashion accessory. These Nothing AI Glasses are expected to come onto the market in the first half of 2027.
Nothing is therefore planning a market launch at around the same time as the first smart glasses from Apple. Both models will reportedly do without an integrated display, meaning that interactions will only take place via voice assistants, similar to the AI features of completely wireless earphones. Thanks to integrated cameras, the glasses from Nothing and Apple will at least be able to record photos and videos and answer questions about objects in the real world using artificial intelligence - features that most earphones and smartwatches cannot offer.
