Dangbei claims to help users leave the "bulk" of traditional home cinema projectors behind with the Atom, a device designed to be just 1.87 inches high and 2.82 pounds in mass. Nevertheless, it is also touted to compete effectively with rivals such as the Wemax GO or GO Advanced with a max brightness of 1,200 lumens.
The ALPD-enabled Atom is also backed to support a full "ecosystem" of home entertainment content by running Google TV out of the box. Dangbei also claims that the Atom "improves color performance and intelligent image adjustment", although compared to what is not specified.
Then again, users might be able to adjust the picture to their heart's content, starting with the 3 color temperature presets and "RGB gain adjustments" found in the Atom's settings. Then again, its resolution is capped at 1080p.
Nevertheless, the new low-profile projector will be valued at a pre-order price of $899.99 from January 8, 2024 - although an introductory discount to $749.99 is also possible for a limited time from that date. That offer will be available on dangbei.com only, with the Atom joining its 'full-sized' Mars Pro 4K cousin on Amazon later that same month.
