Thunderobot has launched the Thor P1 Pro projector in China. The Pro is the latest gadget from the brand, known for its gaming computers and accessories, and builds on the older P1 projector. The new model has a native 1080p resolution, supporting 4K, and a 2,500:1 contrast ratio.
The company says the next-generation sealed light engine used in the Thor P1 Pro reduces noise and improves brightness; the LED lamp delivers up to 1,000 ANSI lumens, making it brighter than its predecessor, which peaked at 600 ANSI lumens. The projector has a 1.25:1 throw ratio, suitable for casting pictures between 40 and 120 inches wide (~102 and 305 cm). Laser and time of flight (ToF) technology lets you quickly perfect the image with autofocus, obstacle avoidance and keystone correction tools. The Thunderobot projector runs on Android 11 and supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to wirelessly screencast from your phone.
The company says the model has a customized e-sports mode with 10 ms latency, with game consoles connected via HDMI 2.1. Other ports include USB-A and a 3.5mm audio jack. Plus, the device has a built-in speaker and microphone, allowing you to control the gadget with voice commands. You can now buy the Thunderobot Thor P1 Pro projector in China for 1,499 yuan (~$209), making it relatively cheap. It remains unclear whether or when the device could launch in other markets.
