Xgimi Aladdin: Projector also functions as an adjustable ceiling lamp and speaker

Xgimi is becoming a household name in the projector world with its range of LED projectors, which, depending on the model, aim to impress with high brightness. With Aladdin, the company has now presented a new projector with an interesting concept.

The manufacturer describes the Xgimi Aladdin as a 3-in-1 solution. Specifically, the system should not only function as a projector, but also as a lamp and as a speaker. However, the integration of speakers into a projector is not an entirely new innovation and more or less corresponds to the standard of smart LED projectors. Moreover, the concept is not entirely new either, as Xgimi has already presented the product as the Magic Lamp Projector.

According to Xgimi, an image of up to 100 inches can be projected. The projection ratio is 0.7:1, which means the distance between the projector and the projection surface does not have to be too large. A Harman Kardon sound system is installed, which is intended to fill the entire room with high-quality sound. The big advantage of the system is likely to be the easy installation, which corresponds to that of a typical ceiling lamp; users should be able to utilize the same power supply.

The Xgimi Aladdin can thus be integrated unobtrusively into one's living space, at least according to the images shown so far. As a rule, only a screen needs to be set up for display, or it can be projected directly onto a suitable wall. There is currently no information on exact technical data, such as brightness, but the Aladdin is said to be an HD projector. The system is advertised as smart, so it should be possible to access streaming service providers without an external player, which makes sense given the positioning. Release is scheduled for June 2024, with this information applying to the Japanese market. It is not yet clear if and when the Xgimi Aladdin will be released globally.
