Hisense U9N: New 144 Hz mini-LED TVs with up to 5,000 cd/m² and over 5,000 dimming zones are quite affordable
The manufacturer Hisense offers TVs and monitors. The company is also active in Europe and is now launching new TVs on the market. These should offer extremely high peak brightness - and also be purchased by private consumers. However, there is currently no precise information on the global launch of the U9N model range. So far, it is only clear that the Hisense U9N will be available in the USA with a screen diagonal of 75 inches for a price of $2,999, while the 85-inch version will cost $3,999. An exact release date is not yet known, but it should be available in the summer.
The maximum brightness is specified at 5,000 cd/m² however, it can only be achieved over a limited area of the screen and under no circumstances over the entire panel. As TVs based on mini-LED technology, the U9N models have numerous dimming zones - 5,300 to be exact. The brightness can be finely adjusted not only spatially, but also in terms of intensity - in 65,536 levels.
Unsurprisingly, the price-intensive televisions should also be suitable for gaming. The refresh rate is specified as 144 Hz and the image output can be synchronized with the monitor's refresh rate using AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Dolby Vision Gaming is advertised, as is the built-in 4.1.2 sound system.
