Hisense debuts 27G6K and 27G6K-PRO gaming monitors with 240 Hz refresh rates
Hisense has introduced a pair of new gaming monitors, shortly after debuting the 27G7K-PRO. Rather confusingly, the company has unveiled the 27G6K and 27G6K-PRO, despite revealing the 27G7K-PRO first. Additionally, while the 27G6K series delivers 240 Hz native refresh rates, the 27G7K-PRO peaks at just 160 Hz.
With that being said, the 27G6K and 27G6K-PRO reach their target refresh rates by outputting at 2.5K (2,560 x 1,440) rather than 4K in the case of the 27G7K-PRO. Moreover, both 27G6K series monitors lack the Mini LED local dimming zones that allow the 27G7K-PRO to deliver 1,000 nits peak HDR brightness. Instead, Hisense states that the 27G6K and 27G6K-PRO reach 280 nits and 400 nits, respectively.
Accordingly, the 27G6K-PRO is also VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified. Elsewhere, the pair offer 1 ms GtG response times across their Fast IPS panels, as well as AMD FreeSync Premium technology to mitigate image tearing. Furthermore, Hisense claims that each monitor covers 98% of the DCI-P3 colour space but only contains a pair of HDMI 2.0 ports, plus single DisplayPort and 3.5 mm jack connections. Currently, Hisense has limited the pair's releases to China, where they sell for CNY 1,299 (~$179) and CNY 1,599 (~$221), respectively.
