AOC introduces new gaming monitor with 4K 160 Hz IPS panel and USB connectivity
AOC is preparing to release another AGON PRO monitor, having introduced the AGON PRO AG246FK and AGON PRO AG256FS earlier this month. This time, it has revealed the AGON PRO AG276UX, a larger example that has a much slower panel than its AGON PRO peers. With that being said, the AGON PRO AG276UX also delivers a much higher native resolution than either the AGON PRO AG246FK or AGON PRO AG256FS.
Specifically, AOC has equipped the AGON PRO AG276UX with a 'Fast IPS' panel that measures 27-inches across. As such, the panel offers fast response times, which AOC rates at 1 ms when using the grey-to-grey (GtG) standard. Additionally, the panel provides the AGON PRO AG276UX with a 3,840 x 2,160 (4K) native resolution and a 160 Hz refresh rate.
In other words, it seems that the AGON PRO AG276UX contains the same panel as the MSI MAG 274URFW on which we have already reported. Consequently, the AGON PRO AG276UX is rated to 400 nits full panel brightness or 600 nits when viewing HDR content. Please note that the latter is not necessarily a full panel measurement. On top of that, AOC claims that the AGON PRO AG276UX covers 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space, as well as 99% of the smaller sRGB colour space.
AOC has not confirmed pricing or availability yet. Instead, it has listed the monitor on its Chinese website. Typically, the company releases gaming monitors globally though, as will be the case with the AGON PRO AG246FK and AGON PRO AG256FS. For reference, the AGON PRO AG276UX also features the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 2x HDMI 2.1
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2
