Philips has released the Evnia 24M2N5500L, a 2.5K gaming monitor that measures 23.8-inches across. The Philips Evnia 24M2N5500L also offers a 180 Hz refresh rate with decent colour accuracy, among other features.

Philips has expanded its Evnia sub-brand with the 24M2N5500L. For reference, the 24M2N5500L follows the Evnia 27M1N5500P, which arrived a few months ago. Also, it is worth noting that Philips only releases gaming monitors under its Evnia sub-brand. By contrast, the company still offers office monitors like the 24E1N1100A, 27E1N1100A and 27E1N1600AE with Philips branding.

As for the Evnia 24M2N5500L, Philips claims to have equipped it with a 23.8-inch IPS panel that outputs at 2K. However, the monitor actually operates at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, which is more commonly known as 1440p or 2.5K. Additionally, Philips rates the monitor's peak refresh rate at 180 Hz, although it delivers up to 144 Hz over HDMI thanks to the inclusion of HDMI 2.0 ports. By contrast, the Evnia 24M2N5500L offers full 1440p and 180 Hz visuals when connected to a device via its DisplayPort 1.4 connection.

Furthermore, the monitor boasts 1 ms GtG response times, or 0.5 ms when measuring using the MPRT standard instead. On top of that, the Evnia 24M2N5500L should cover 93% and 99.5% of the DCI-P3 and sRGB colour spaces, respectively, while also hitting 250 nits. Currently, the Evnia 24M2N5500L is only available in China, where it sells for CNY 1,099 (~$152). With that being said, Philips tends to eventually offer its Evnia-branded monitors globally.
