New Xiaomi Redmi monitor unveiled with 2.5K resolution and 100 Hz refresh rate
Xiaomi is arguably best known outside China for its smartphone divisions. However, it also sells monitors like the Curved Gaming Monitor (curr. $289.99 on Amazon). Now, it has introduced the Redmi Display A27Q 2025, which builds on the monitor of the same that it has now stopped selling on its website.
On the one hand, Xiaomi has upgraded the Redmi Display A27Q to a 100 Hz refresh rate, a 33% improvement from its previous 75 Hz peak. The 27-inch IPS display still outputs at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels though, while maintaining 6 ms response times and 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverage, as well as offering Delta E <2 colour deviations and 8-bit colour depth. In other words, these elements are unchanged from the existing Redmi Display A27Q.
On the other hand, Xiaomi has removed the USB hub that is present in the older Redmi Display A27Q. For reference, this included a pair of USB Type-A ports and a single Type-C connection for connecting and powering a laptop with one cable. Instead, the Redmi Display A27Q 2025 contains just DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and 3.5 mm jack connections. Currently, the Redmi Display A27Q 2025 is only available in China, where it will sell initially for CNY 749 (~$103) before eventually rising to CNY 999 (~$138). Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not confirmed whether it intends to offer the monitor globally yet.
