JMGO PicoFlix battery-powered gimbal projector now available
JMGO has launched the PicoFlix 1080p Gimbal Projector worldwide. This is a battery-powered model which is said to be encased in a tough aluminum alloy body, making it suitable for use when travelling or outdoors.
The PicoFlix has an LED light source for up to 450 ANSI lumens brightness, throwing images up to 180 inches (~457 cm) wide at a 1.2:1 throw ratio. Other features of the DLP projector include 124% coverage of the Rec.709 color space, support for HDR10 and an integrated 10W speaker compatible with Dolby Audio. Thanks to the gimbal, which is controlled via a rotating knob, the projection angle can be adjusted up to 127°, allowing you to cast images onto a wall or ceiling. Image perfecting tools include automatic keystone correction and automatic screenfit.
The JMGO projector uses Google TV for apps such as Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Prime Video, as well as Google Assistant voice commands. Plus, a 10,000mAh battery allows you to watch videos for up to 4.5 hours in Eco mode and recharges at 65W via USB-C. The portable device measures 24 x 8 cm (~9.4 x 3.1 inches), weighs 1.3 kg (~2.9 lbs) and features ports like HDMI 2.1 eARC and USB-A. The JMGO PicoFlix Gimbal Projector retails for $599/€599. However, it is also included in the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale, reducing the price to $479/€479.20 on October 9th in some countries.
