Xiaomi launches affordable soundbar with Bluetooth 5.3 and numerous ports
Xiaomi recently listed the Xiaomi Soundbar 2.0ch on its global website, which indicates that a global launch is pending, although there is no concrete information on this yet.
As usual, Xiaomi reveals all technical specs, but has not provided any details on availability in individual countries or on the price. Judging from the features of the Xiaomi Soundbar 2.0ch, however, it is likely to be a fairly inexpensive model that will be positioned below the Xiaomi Soundbar 3.1ch, which is currently available via Amazon for $199. If the new model is also launched in the US, the purchase costs are also likely to be as low.
As the name suggests, the Xiaomi Soundbar 2.0ch is a sound bar with two channels. There is no external or internal subwoofer. Instead, it is equipped with two Racetrack speakers, each with 15 W and 45 x 80 mm and located behind an easy-to-clean metal grille in the front of the soundbar. According to Xiaomi, these speakers cover a frequency range of 70 Hz to 20 kHz.
At the rear, Xiaomi has installed an optical digital input, a coaxial input, an SPDIF In and a 3.5 mm AUX In. HDMI is not on board, but Bluetooth 5.3 is available. There are several buttons on the right-hand side for operation. A wall bracket is included, meaning that the soundbar can also be hung on a wall and does not necessarily have to be positioned on a piece of furniture.
