Amazon launches Fire TV Soundbar Plus with built-in subwoofer and optional surround speakers
Alongside the Fire TV Omni mini-LED series, Amazon has also announced a new soundbar. The new Fire TV Soundbar Plus arrives as a higher-end model to the Fire TV Soundbar released in 2023.
The Fire TV Soundbar Plus has a flatter design compared to its predecessor. It is also significantly larger, coming in at 37'' in length compared to the Fire TV Soundbar's 24'' length. That extra space houses a built-in subwoofer for a 3.1 speaker channel.
It also has Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and DTS TruVolume, and a dedicated dialog channel. It also has a Dialogue Enhancer which ensures voices are elevated beyond background sounds.

While the built-in subwoofer definitely gives the Fire TV Soundbar Plus an edge over the Fire TV Soundbar, Amazon is also offering buyers the option to purchase the new soundbar with an external sub-woofer or with a sub-woofer and surround speakers for a cinematic home theater experience. The soundbar can be mounted (wall mount kit included) or placed on a TV stand.
The Fire TV Soundbar Plus is an audio-only device, so there's no built-in Alexa or Fire TV. While it comes with its own remote and has physical buttons on the top, owners of a compatible Fire TV (streamer or smart TV) can use its remote to control the soundbar too. The soundbar has an optical port, an HDMI eARC port, and a USB port for connectivity. There's also Bluetooth, so you can connect it to your phone or tablet.
The Fire TV Soundbar Plus is available to buy now on Amazon, priced at $249.99. That's more than double the Fire TV Soundbar which is available for $104.99. If you purchase the Soundbar Plus with an external sub-woofer, the price goes up to $374.99, while adding an external sub-woofer and two surround sound speakers takes the price to $489.99.
