LG OLED G5 smart TV leak reveals new details of flagship model

More details have emerged about the 2025 LG OLED G5 smart TVs. The 55-inch and 65-inch versions were recently spotted in the KTC database in the Republic of Korea, alongside the same sizes of the 2025 C5, with images revealing a similar design to the 2024 variants.

Now, the 2025 OLED65G5 TV has been found by FlatpanelsHD in the VESA ClearMR database. The listing confirms that the upcoming model has a UHD resolution (4K, 3840 x 2160 px). Plus, it reveals that the TV has a 165Hz refresh rate, an upgrade on the 144Hz refresh rate of the 2024 G4. The ClearMR Tier, which indicates motion clarity, has been upgraded accordingly from 9,000 to 10,000. The LG C5 has yet to be listed in this database.

The 2025 LG OLED G5 smart TV is expected to debut at CES 2025. LG has already won a 2025 CES Best of Innovation Award in the Video Displays category for its upcoming range of OLED TVs. It is unclear when the LG G5 will go on sale and at what price. As a guide, the 65-inch 2024 LG evo G4 TV has a $3,399.99 RRP but is currently available at Amazon for $2,296.99.
