Xiaomi officially launches new Mijia Robot Vacuum Mop M40
The Xiaomi Mijia Robot Vacuum Mop M40 has been officially launched in China. The product has already been available to purchase for a few weeks but was showcased as part of a wider spotlight on smart home products during the Redmi K80 smartphone launch event.
The Mijia Robot Vacuum M40 is said to have “hurricane suction” with up to 12,000Pa suction power. This is relatively strong for a robot vacuum but falls behind the 18,500Pa of the Roborock Qrevo Curv. The Xiaomi product features dual arms for sweeping and mopping, with the ability to reach close to the edges of the room. Plus, there is a real-time hair-cutting tool to prevent tangles on the roller brush. The robot comes with an intelligent docking station that can wash and dry the mop at high temperatures, and empty and replenish on the onboard dustbin and water tanks. You can also choose to connect the dock to your home plumbing system using the Water Supply and Discharge Set.
The Xiaomi Mijia Robot Vacuum Mop M40 is currently available in China for CNY 2,999 (~$414); the version with a Water Supply and Discharge Set for CNY 3,599 (~$496). It is unclear whether this model will roll out to other regions, such as Europe, where the company already sells models like the Robot Vacuum X20+, currently available for €359 at Amazon Germany.
