TP-Link introduces two new affordable robot vacuums with 5,300 Pa suction power

TP-Link has introduced two new affordable robot vacuums into its budget-friendly Tapo series portfolio: the Tapo RV30 Max Plus and the Tapo RV20 Max Plus. First, let’s talk about the Tapo RV30 Max Plus. 

The RV30 Max Plus robot vacuum is equipped with 5,300 Pa suction power and can mop and vacuum simultaneously. The device uses a LiDAR navigation system to accurately map your home, and it also utilizes the same anti-collision system to avoid obstacles while cleaning. Furthermore, the company packs its in-house DeepVac technology and Tapo IQ+ smart cleaning features into the RV30 Max. This technology maximizes suction power to clean stubborn stains. There’s also a suction boost feature available, which you can enable while cleaning carpets.

The gadget has a 2,600 mAh battery and can run for up to 120 minutes on a single charge. It comes with an AutoEmpty dock feature, which automatically empties the dust and dirt after cleaning. TP-Link offers two different cleaning modes in the RV30 Max Plus: vacuum only and vacuum and mop. You can choose from three levels of mopping water and five suction power settings. 

Additionally, the robot has Tapo companion app support, which further enables several features such as zone cleaning, real-time tracking, scheduled cleaning, virtual walls, no-go zones, and multi-floor mapping. 

The RV20 Max Plus is a more affordable version of the RV30 Max Plus. The robot features the same 5,300 Pa suction power as the RV30 Max Plus. Other features include Mesh Grid technology, carpet suction boost, smart obstacle avoidance, self-cleaning routes, and TP-Link’s in-house DeepVac technology. Additionally, you can control both vacuums using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands or the Tapo companion app. 

TP-Link also offers a standard Tapo RV30 Max and RV20 Max variant, alongside a self-emptying dock model. The only difference between the standard variant and the Max Plus variant is that the former ships with a simple charging dock and also costs less than the Plus variant. The latter comes with a self-emptying dock, which obviously costs more than the standard model. 

You can currently buy the TP-Link RV30 Max Plus and RV30 Max robot vacuums in the US for $299.99 and $219.99, respectively. The RV20 Max Plus and RV20 Max will be available on December 2nd for $250 and $200.
