The Tapo C125 security camera delivers a 2K QHD 4MP (2560x1440 px) resolution with an up to 30 fps frame rate, though the default is 15 fps, and a 140° viewing angle. For video footage at night, there are red 850nm and “invisible” 940nm IR LED options, and the camera has AI detection for things like motion, a baby crying, pets, and glass breaking. Notifications can be sent to your phone via the Tapo app, where you can also control settings like the activity zone and customize the alarm sound. Alternatively, you can use integrations with Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit to remotely control the camera via third-party apps. Other features include a built-in microphone and speaker allowing two-way conversation, 12X digital zoom and WiFi 6 support.

Video recordings can be saved on a microSD card (up to 512 GB) or via Tapo Care Cloud Storage Services, though this requires a subscription priced at €3.49/$3.49 per month. The TP-Link Tapo C125 AI Home Security WiFi Camera is now on sale in EU countries like France and Germany at Amazon with an RRP of around €59.90. However, customers in Germany can currently purchase the gadget at the reduced price of €53.56. US customers can buy the product at Best Buy for $59.99.
