Govee announces new flagship Floor Lamp Pro with Bluetooth speaker
The Govee Floor Lamp Pro has been unveiled in the US alongside the Govee Floor Lamp 2. The Pro is taller at 1.5 m (~4.9 ft) and features 324 LED beads for white and colored lighting. Another upgrade of this lamp versus the Floor Lamp 2 is the 300° rotating post, which allows you to adjust the angle of the lighting.
The Floor Lamp Pro can be controlled via the Govee app, where you can adjust the brightness up to 2,100 lumens, higher than the 1,725 lumen peak of the Floor Lamp 2. The app also allows you to select from a wide range of colors, white color temperatures and effects, with over 80 scenes for dynamic lighting. The lamp will work with Amazon Alexa and Google Home and their associated voice assistants at launch. However, a future update will bring Matter compatibility for a broader range of smart home platform integrations; the release date for this software needs to be clarified.
A further difference between the Pro and the 2 is the addition of a Bluetooth speaker in the base. You can choose for the lighting to be synced with the sound, playing music or selecting from the 28 white noise presets. The Govee Floor Lamp Pro will launch at the company’s online store and Amazon in the US on April 22nd with a $219.99 retail price. Whether or when the model will reach Europe or Canada is unclear. The Govee Floor Lamp 2 is already on sale in various markets for $149.99/€149.99/£149.99.
