Not only Roborock, but also Dreame is using CES 2025 to present its new flagship robot vacuum. Strictly speaking, the brand new Dreame X50 Ultra had already been unveiled at IFA 2024, but without a name at the time.
At IFA 2024, Dreame demonstrated the innovative climbing function of the new X50 Ultra. With its ProLeap system and extendable legs, the robot can manage steps of up to 6 cm in height: 4.2 cm in the first step and 1.8 cm in the second. Hence, the vast majority of doorsteps are no longer expected be an insurmountable obstacle or problem.
There is also something new in terms of navigation. Like the Roborock Saros 10, which was also presented at CES, the Dreame X50 Ultra can also retract its laser tower if required. This reduces the overall height to just 89 mm, allowing it to clean under more kinds of furniture. In addition, it also uses structured 3D light and AI to detect up to 200 different objects, including pet droppings.
Dreame X50 Ultra is very well equipped
Furthermore, all other familiar flagship features that we have come to expect from Dreame's top models are also not absent from the Dreame X50 Ultra. These include a high suction power of 20,000 Pa, SideReach with an extendable side brush and MopExtend RoboSwing for thorough cleaning in corners and along edges, a main brush that can be raised by 10 mm (HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush), mops that can be placed on high-pile carpets and much more.
The Dreame X50 Ultra not only comes with a lot of accessories, but also the usual comprehensive cleaning station. Hot water mop washing at 80 °C, hot air drying, vacuuming and refilling with water and detergent are standard here. Two new UV lamps for eliminating bacteria are also on board.
