Hong Kong-based AirRobo has unveiled a new robot vacuum in the T-series, the T20+. The product comes with significant upgrades over the predecessor, the T10+, which was announced three years ago. According to the AirRobo, the robot offers up to 2,600 Pa suction power and can mop and vacuum simultaneously. In addition, it offers a separate sweep-cleaning option, and you can choose from three levels of mopping water and four suction power settings.
Like other AirRobo vacuums, the T20+ has LiDAR-based navigation to map your home accurately. Furthermore, the company packs its in-house USLAM Air 5.0 system into the T20+. This technology spots and avoids objects while cleaning. It comes with a self-emptying docking station, which provides up to 60 days of hands-free cleaning. This is also an improvement on the last generation T10+ model, which offers 45 days of automated cleaning.
Unfortunately, AirRobo has downgraded the robot's battery life compared to its predecessor. The T20+ has a 3,200 mAh battery, a step down from the predecessor's 5,000 mAh. AirRobo claims that the robot can clean areas up to 2,200 ft² (204 m²) between charges. Moreover, the cleaning robot has AirRobo companion app support, which further enables several functions such as schedule cleaning, setting no-go zones, real-time progress monitoring, and zone cleaning. Alternatively, you can control the gadget with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa.
You can currently buy the AirRobo T20+ robot vacuum in the US via Amazon for the discounted price of $199; the gadget will eventually retail for $499.99 once the AirRobo's Black Friday deals are over. It comes in a single black color option. Sadly, there's no standard variant available here.
