Black Friday Deal | Formovie Theater Premium: New 2,200 ISO Lumen UST projector drops by $500 but only for a short time
Formovie's latest ultra-short-throw (UST) projector is a little over a month old, having been presented at the back end of October. Nonetheless, the company has included the Theater Premium in its Black Friday Deals, which run until the end of December 2.
To recap, the Theater Premium replaces the Theater (curr. $2,299 on Amazon) that we reviewed last year in Formovie's high-end UST line-up. Incidentally, we are in the process of putting the Theater Premium through its paces, too. For reference, the Theater Premium adds to its predecessor with Appotronics-derived ALPD RGB+ 4.0 triple-laser technology that is said to provide 1.25x sharper image quality and a 22% brighter image (2,200 ISO Lumens).

Moreover, the Theater Premium has a 0.21:1 throw ratio, which allows it to sit about 20% closer to a projection surface than its predecessor. As result, the Premium's projection height should sit about 40% lower than on the original Theater. On top of that, the Theater Premium boasts improved speakers and an overhauled Google TV UI.
At launch, Formovie charged €2,999/$2,999 for the Theater Premium, although this was only true during its pre-order period. The company's Black Friday Deal takes it back to this price, which represents a €500/$500 and 14% discount on its €3,499/$3,499 MSRP. Please see Formovie's website for more details.
