Xiaomi reveals two new cheaper TV speakers with NFC pairing
Xiaomi has unveiled two new soundbars: the TV Speaker 2.0 and the TV Speaker 2.1. Both models have a slim rectangular design with a black finish and can sit on a media unit, or be mounted to the wall.
The Xiaomi TV Speaker 2.0 has two mid-bass speakers and two tweeters, with a maximum output of 84W. While the Xiaomi TV Speaker 2.0 has these same four units, it also has a built-in sub and a higher peak power of 120W. The soundbars support Bluetooth connectivity with fast device pairing via NFC and a range of ports like HDMI (ARC), optical and coaxial inputs. Users can choose between six listening modes, such as Movie, Music and Game. Plus, the devices come with accessories, including a remote control and HDMI cable. While the TV Speaker 2.0 measures 840 x 87 x 60 mm (~33.1 x 3.4 x 2.4 inches) and weighs 2.3 kg (~50.7 lbs), the TV Speaker 2.1 is slightly longer at 1,070 x 87 x 60 mm (~42.1 x 3.4 x 2.4 inches) and heavier at 3.0 kg (~6.6 lbs).
You can now buy the Xiaomi TV Speaker 2.0 and the Xiaomi TV Speaker 2.1 in China for CNY 399 (~$55) and CNY 599 (~$83), respectively. It is unclear whether or when these products could launch in other markets like Europe. The brand already sells other audio devices in countries like Germany, such as the Mi Bluetooth Speaker, which is currently selling for €44.99 on Amazon.
