Xiaomi announces 2025 Redmi Smart TV X series with 4K 240 Hz displays

Xiaomi has just announced the 2025 Redmi Smart TV X series. This new lineup brings four models, each of them featuring a 4K panel and maxing out at a 240 Hz refresh rate. The smallest one in the series is a 55-inch TV, while the largest one comes with an 85-inch panel.

All the models are said to cover 94% of DCI-P3 color space, which will eventually result in accurate color output. Under the hood, there's a MediaTek MT9655 "flagship" processor with a quad-core configuration. It's paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, and Xiaomi says that the chip can ensure high responsiveness, which is crucial for gaming.

As for the software, like most of the recent smart products from Xiaomi, the 2025 Redmi Smart TV X series runs on HyperOS 2.0. This means the new TVs can offer a connected experience with compatible devices. Xiaomi pairs the models with an NFC remote, which aims to provide easy controls.

Other highlights of the new Redmi Smart TV X series include WiFi 6, high-resolution UI, eye protection features for viewing comfort, and an intelligent control center. The smallest model within the series costs CNY 2,179 (around $300), while the top-end variant costs CNY 4,799 (about $649) in China.

Global pricing and availability details aren't confirmed yet, but Xiaomi did bring the previous X series TVs outside China.
