HomeDash Matter and HomeKit app update brings new features
The HomeDash app for iOS has received a major update. The highly rated software is billed as the “ultimate HomeKit and Matter app”, with customizable dashboards to make it easier to control your smart home products. You can also create groups and scenes to quickly adjust multiple devices or set up personalized Siri voice commands.
HomeDash version 5.0.0 brings a refreshed design of the control view, which the company suggests simplifies device management. You can now find an overview of each home and room connected to your account to quickly view the status of connected products. Plus, users can simultaneously control all lights and thermostats in a room. The change log also notes that there is a new list of all scenes, an additional camera view in the control section and other minor changes to improve the user experience.
On top of this, it has been reported that there are now icons for accessories, scenes and services, and a redesign for the Apple Watch app. While this is a free update, there is a one-off app cost of $19.99/£9.99/€19.99. The app is compatible with a wide range of products like the Philips Hue A19 LED Smart Light Bulb (curr. $75.98 for a 3-pack at Amazon).
