The LG B3 OLED 55-inch TV is once again down to just under $800 at Walmart. Featuring an OLED panel, the TV delivers infinite contrast alongside a wide color gamut for excellent picture quality. The TV is also a pretty good option for gamers with things like VRR and low input lag.

If you are in the market for an affordable OLED TV, it is a very good idea to look at last year’s options. Being a year old, not only can you often get the TVs for a massive discount but you will likely not be settling for ancient tech. A good example of this is 2023’s LG B3 OLED TV which is not only an excellent TV with a 4K OLED panel that refreshes at 120 Hz but is also now on sale at a deep discount.

The 55-inch LG B3 OLED can now be yours for only $798 from Walmart. This discounted price represents total savings of around $401, enough money to buy a mid-range soundbar with Dolby Atmos.

LG B3 OLED TV has a 8.7 rating from RTINGS

For gamers and media watchers, the 55-inch LG B3 OLED TV on sale is a superb choice as shown by RTINGS' review and the resulting "Mixed usage" rating of 8.7. The TV nails must-have features like inky deep blacks, almost complete coverage of the DCI-P3 gamut, impressive color volume, excellent viewing angles, and solid reflection handling. The TV also handles low-quality content smoothing and upscaling quite well thanks to LG’s α7 AI Processor Gen6.

When it comes to gaming, the LG B3 OLED also boasts a super low input lag, a near-instantaneous response time, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The high refresh rate works in conjunction with both FreeSync and G-Sync to deliver a smooth, tear-free gaming experience. Finally, the TV is fully compatible with the resolutions and VRR on both PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X | S.

Sadly, the LG B3 OLED TV has a few glaring weaknesses that reflect its budget price tag. For starters, the TV doesn’t get very bright with both HDR and SDR Peak 2% Window Brightness coming in at just under 600 and 400 nits, respectively. The TV also suffers from less-than-optimal HDR color accuracy.

Finally, the LG B3 OLED TV has only two HDMI 2.1 ports which can be an issue if you have multiple consoles and a PC connected.

If these minor issues aren’t deal-breakers for you, then the 55-inch LG B3 OLED TV on sale is an outstanding choice for just about anyone.
