Deal | 77-inch Samsung OLED TV with 120Hz gets massive 51% price cut

Many of Samsung's high-end OLED TVs are equipped with an impressive Quantum-Dot display, which pretty much sports the brightest colors of any current panel technology. However, on the lower and more affordable end of its 2024 lineup, Samsung has placed the attractive S84D OLED, which features a traditional WOLED panel.

Consequently, the Samsung S84D is also noticeably cheaper than the S90D and S95D, which is illustrated by Best Buy's current deal for the enormous 77-inch Samsung OLED TV. Thanks to a large 51% discount relative to the official list price, the Samsung S84D is now available for $1,599 including free store pickup.

Shipping costs vary by location, but since this model variant is exclusively sold at Best Buy, this TV deal can't be found at other retailers. For reference, marketplace sellers on Amazon are currently charging $1,999 for the very similar 77-inch Samsung S85D.

Although the S85D OLED is not as bright or as colorful as Samsung's QD-OLED televisions, the vast majority of buyers will be happy with the perfect black levels and infinite contrast ratio of this 77-inch Samsung TV. Despite its more affordable price, this panel has a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and peak HDR brightness of around 650 nits, which is practically on the same level as the LG B4 OLED.

It should also be noted that the S85D lacks Dolby Vision support and relies on HDR10+ instead. That being said, the directly competing 77-inch OLED TV from LG is currently $200 more expensive on Amazon, which is why the Samsung S85D is a decent choice for buyers who are looking for a huge Samsung OLED TV for well under $2,000.
