Nanoleaf Sense+ Smart Wireless Switch with motion detection now shipping

The Nanoleaf Sense+ Smart Wireless Switch is now available in North America and the EU. The smart home accessory was first mentioned in 2020 before it was eventually unveiled in September. At this point, customers were able to pre-order the product, which has now started to ship.

The Sense+ is a wireless switch with Passive Infrared (PIR) technology that allows you to control all of your Nanoleaf smart lights within a 10 m (~33 ft) range simultaneously. The battery-powered accessory has separate buttons to switch on or off your lights, as well as a central button to adjust the brightness. Also included are two programable buttons which can take one of six functions; these include setting a particular color or triggering smart home routines.

On top of this, the switch has motion and daylight sensors, which provide another way to trigger your smart home devices. The switch can be configured in the Nanoleaf App, and it works with most Nanoleaf Smart Lights. Matter compatibility will arrive in a future update, bringing support for some products from other brands, as will compatibility for Nanoleaf Essentials Thread Homekit Bulbs & Lightstrips.

You can buy the Nanoleaf Sense+ Smart Wireless Switch in the US and EU for $29.99 and €29.99, respectively. There is also a range of bundles on offer, including one which combines the light switch with a Nanoleaf Skylight Smarter Kit (3 Pack) for $279.99/€269.99. These lighting panels typically retail for $249.99/€249.99, meaning customers save $30/€20 when they purchase the bundle. In other markets like the UK, you can currently only pre-order the gadget for £29.99. The product page in this country suggests that shipping here will begin in late November.
