The Portronics Beem 500 projector has been launched in India. This model has a native 1080p resolution, projecting images between 40 and 120 inches (~102 and 305 cm) in size. You can quickly adjust the image with intelligent alignment, autofocus and keystone correction tools.
Portonics suggest that the Beem 500’s LED light source delivers up to 6,700 lumens brightness; it is worth noting that this measurement does not appear to adhere to an internationally recognised standard like ISO or ANSI lumens. The Android 9.0 based OS lets you stream content via popular streaming services like Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video. Plus, you can physically connect devices via ports like HDMI, USB-A, Ethernet, and AUX, and there are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity options. Other features include built-in 16W speakers and a remote control supporting voice commands.
You can now buy the Portronics Beem 500 projector in India for ₹23,999 (~$283), a 40% discount on the ₹39,999 RRP (~$471). It is unclear how long this deal will last and whether or when the product could launch in other markets. If you are based in the US, you could consider the BenQ TH575 1080P Gaming Projector, currently $499 at Amazon.
