Philips and Screeneo have returned with another projector, having introduced the UL5 together earlier this year. To recap, the UL5 is an ultra-short-throw projector with a 0.23:1 throw ratio and a 1080p native resolution. By contrast, Philips advertises the GamePix 900 for Esports and console gamers rather than for multimedia usage.
To that end, the company claims that the projector delivers 1080p and 240 Hz visuals with 6 ms of input lag. Moreover, the GamePix 900 boasts a 30,000-hour LED lifespan while operating at 1,000 ANSI lumens. Alternatively, the projector can drop to 120 Hz, although this increases input lag by a third to 8 ms.

Unfortunately, Philips has included a solitary HDMI 2.0 port for connecting devices like a laptop, gaming handheld or console. By default though, the GamePix 900 will output at 4K and 60 Hz, albeit by using a Texas Instruments DLP chip (0.47-inch DMD). As a result, the GamePix 900 is not a native 4K projector, which remain exorbitantly expensive.
Currently, Philips has not revealed when it will begin selling the GamePix 900. Instead, it has merely outlined that the projector will be available in April 2025. However, one can sign up to receive more information via its website.
