LG has revealed the 2025 QNED evo TV lineup. The range will feature premium LCD models in sizes ranging from 40 to 100 inches. LG’s latest TVs feature proprietary Dynamic QNED Color Solution technology, in place of quantum dots.
The company indicates that this provides wider color gamut coverage compared to older generations; though there is no data to back up this claimed improved color performance, LG notes that the TVs are Intertek certified. Powered by the α8 AI Processor, LG claims that its new QNED evo TVs have a 70% AI performance boost compared to their predecessors. AI features include enhanced upscaling, Dynamic Tone mapping Pro and virtual 9.1.2 channel sound. Each TV is accompanied by the AI Magic Remote, with a new AI button to provide personalized viewing recommendations. WebOS 25 is also said to offer AI features for a tailored experience.
The company has also named one specific model in this range, the QNED9M. The model, and all others in the 2025 QNED evo range, will support True Wireless 4K (4@144Hz) streaming. This feature was previously only available on M Series TVs; the 2023 LG 77-inch OLED evo M3 TV is currently available at Amazon for $4,496.99. The only cable that the QNED9M requires is its power supply, which should make it even easier to have a tidy set-up. LG has also said that this model is AMD FreeSync Premium certified. The LG QNED evo TVs are expected to be on show at CES 2025 from January 7th.
