TCL announces new brighter T6L QD-Mini LED TV

TCL has unveiled the 2025 T6L QD-Mini LED TV in China, available in four sizes. The new 4K model is said to be over 50% brighter than older TVs, thanks to the latest QD-Mini LED technology. Other features include an up to 288Hz refresh rate, four HDMI ports with support for 4K@144Hz, and customization options for gamers.

The TCL T6L QD-Mini LED TV has been revealed in China. The new model is available in four sizes: 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch. According to TCL, the latest QD-Mini LED technology makes its new TVs 53.8% brighter and 10% more energy efficient than older generations.

The number of backlight partitions ranges on the T6L from 180 to 420, depending on the size of the model. There is a 1,100 nits maximum brightness for the two smaller sizes and 1,300 nits for the larger TVs. Plus, the Quantum Dot Pro 2025 technology is said to provide 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Other features include a 7,000:1 native contrast ratio and an up to 288Hz refresh rate; the refresh rate is capped at 240Hz for the 55-inch TV.

The T6L uses the TV Control System 3.0, with custom skins for Xbox, PlayStation and Switch. Plus, there are a range of ports, including four HDMI, one of which is HDMI 4K@144Hz eARC, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0. You can now buy the 2025 TCL T6L QD-Mini LED TV 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch models in China for CNY 2,899 (~$398), CNY 3,699 (~$508), CNY 4,799 (~$659) and CNY 6,199 (~$851), respectively. It is unclear when this TV, or a similar product, could launch in other countries. In the US, the older TCL 65-inch QM7 QLED 4K Smart QD-Mini LED TV is currently available at Amazon for $697.99.
