Amazon recently announced the Echo Show 15 (2024) and the Echo Show 21, with the latter being its largest smart display till date. Barely a week later, it has discounted both devices for Black Friday.
The Amazon Echo Show 15 and Echo Show 21 are more of a family device than a personal one like the Echo Show 5 Kids. Their large screens allow them to serve as a family organization hub that displays family to-do lists and calendars. In addition to these and also serving as a control for smart home devices, they can also be used to stream TV shows and movies since they have Fire TV built-in.
The two Echo Show devices also have a 13MP front-facing camera for video calls, and the camera's auto-framing feature keeps users in frame during calls. Amazon also allows parents or guardians to keep an eye on their kids, pets, and the home using the camera via a feature called Live View. For privacy, the Echo Show 15 and Echo 21 have a privacy shutter button and a microphone/camera off button.
The Echo Show 15 originally costs $299.99, but for Black Friday, Amazon has knocked 10% off and is now selling it for $269.99. On the other hand, the larger Echo Show 21 which originally sells for $399.99 is down to $359.99.
Amazon ships the Echo Show 15 and Echo Show 21 with a wall-mount but for those who want to place it on a flat surface such as the kitchen counter, there's an adjustable stand that is sold separately. Amazon also sells 6 feet and 10 feet extension cords if the included 5 feet power cord is too short.
