Kärcher RCX 6 wireless robot lawn mower launching next year
The Kärcher RCX 6 robotic lawn mower will launch in Europe in 2025. The company has already revealed details about the new model, which will not require a boundary wire. Instead, the robot uses a combination of RTK, GPS and vSLAM technologies along with a camera, shock sensors and a separate antenna to navigate your lawn while avoiding obstacles.
The RCX 6 is designed for lawns up to 3,000 m² (~32,300 ft²) in size, mowing for up to 50 minutes on a single charge. The mower will automatically return to its dock to recharge, with the 5,000mAh battery fully charging in an hour. The model has three wheels and is described as all-wheel drive, tracking gradients up to 70%. With Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, you can remotely control the mower via the Kärcher Outdoor Robots app or with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice commands. Alternatively, you can adjust the settings on the integrated LCD.
The mower has a cutting width of 35 cm (~13.8 inches), and you can set the cutting height between 20 and 100 mm (~0.8 and 3.9 inches) in the app. Other features include a rain sensor to automatically pause mowing as needed and in-app location tracking. The Kärcher RCX 6 robot lawn mower will launch in the EU in March 2025 with an RRP of €3,299. Whether or not the device could launch in other countries like the US, where the company sells products like the K5 Premium Smart Control Pressure Washer (curr. $449.99 at Amazon), remains to be seen.
