Vivo officially reveals X200 series details
The Vivo X100 series was launched last year in November as a flagship-tier lineup of Android-powered smartphones from the Chinese company, with advanced cameras being one of its main selling points. It's been almost a year and seeing how so many companies update their flagship lineups yearly, it's now about time for Vivo to release successors to the X100 series. An in fact, Vivo X200 series phones seem to be very close to seeing the light of day indeed.
There's been many leaks and rumors regarding the X200 lineup. However, now we have lots of official information from Jia Jingdong, Vivo's Vice President and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy. It has been revealed that there will be three devices in the Vivo X200 lineup including the "base" X200, the X200 Pro Mini, and the X200 Pro.
The Vivo X200 series keeps the iconic circular camera module design of the preceding generation. However, the frame is now flatter for an iPhone-esque design.

X100 series phones launched with a heavy focus on camera capabilities, and the X200 series will be no different, promises Vivo’s VP. It has been revealed that the X200 series features a Zeiss 200MP APO super telephoto lens. There is also a new 135mm focal length shooting mode.
The videography department is getting an upgrade as well. The X200 series will let one record 4K 120fps slow motion videos; there is also support for 10-bit video recordings. the X200 series. The Vivo V3+ chip together with the Sony LYT-818 sensor get a mention.
Powering the X200 lineup will be the Dimensity 9400 SoC featuring advanced AI features such as real-time voice processing, smart beauty filters, and more. Previously, a Vivo employee also shared AnTuTu benchmark results of the X200 Pro and its Dimensity 9400 - a score of over 3 million points is nothing to sneeze at.
Vivo also claims that the semi-solid low-temperature battery technology on the X200 series allows dependable performance in temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius. The series is set to launch on October 14 in China.
