Leaked hands-on video teases Vivo X200 Pro Mini as a compact powerhouse ahead of launch
Vivo appears to be all set to strut its stuff with the launch of the X200 series in China on the 14th of October, and the lineup is expected to feature three models: the X200, X200 Pro, and a 'compact' variant named the X200 Pro Mini. Thanks to a recently surfaced hands-on video on Weibo, we now seem to have a fair idea of how the upcoming compact flagship might actually feel in the hand.
As the 'Pro' moniker suggests, the X200 Pro Mini is poised to be a true flagship smartphone, but with a relatively compact size. Of course, its 6.3-inch display may seem far from compact for those who grew up with sub-4-inch devices of yesteryears, but it sure is compact by today's standards, especially when compared to the 6.8-inch X200 Pro.
The X200 Pro Mini will be powered by the upcoming Dimensity 9400 flagship SoC, which, if recent leaks are anything to go by, is sizing up to be quite the beast. Vivo will also pack a substantial 5,700 mAh battery into the Pro Mini, which should alleviate any battery life concerns that may be associated with compact smartphones.
Photography enthusiasts will be pleased to note that its camera hardware has also been rumored to be quite impressive. The primary camera is expected to feature Sony's LYT-818 sensor, along with Samsung's ISOCELL JN1 sensor for the ultrawide unit, and finally, an IMX882 for telephoto with five-axis OIS. How Vivo X200 Pro Mini's camera array will perform in real life, remains to be seen. Based on the 14th October launch timeline, we may have an answer sooner rather than later.
