In 2025, prospective customers outside China will have plenty of choice again for the first time in a long time and will not necessarily have to rely on Apple, Samsung or Xiaomi. Once the patent disputes with Nokia have been settled, the way should be clear for Vivo and Oppo. And this could be the case sooner than usual if recently leaked information proves to be correct.
A Vietnamese leaker posted on social network X (formerly Twitter, see below) that both Vivo and Oppo are currently planning to launch their X200 and Find X8 camera flagships outside China in one or two months, i.e., October or November. If these claims prove to be true, these launch timeframes would be much earlier than usual. However, there is one potential stumbling block to this theory:
In contrast to Samsung, a global parallel launch is not common for the two Chinese manufacturers, so the specified time frame may just be limited to just a few Asian countries. A regional launch outside of China is nevertheless potentially good news for fans, as global model imports from Hong Kong may well be possible before the end of the year, similar to the Xiaomi Mix Flip shortly after its launch in China. According to the leaker, at least one 16/512 GB model of both phones is planned outside of China. The Vivo X100 Pro will only be launched in Europe in January, with availability in Austria and the Czech Republic expected at the beginning of February.
