Oppo Find X8 will be smaller than the Find X7 but pack a bigger battery
Details of the Oppo Find X8 series keep pouring in both from official sources and leakers. The latest info is about the Find X8 and it comes from Zhou Yibao, the product manager of Oppo's Find series of smartphones. The Oppo executive revealed a handful of interesting details about the Find X8 in a Weibo post made earlier today.
According to the post, the Oppo Find X8 will be lighter, thinner, and smaller than its predecessor, the Find X7. It will also have a smaller camera bump. For context, the Find X7 has a 6.78-inch screen. It also weighs 202 grams and is 9.0 mm thick for the variants with a leather back while the variants with a glass back weigh more at 206 grams but slimmer at 8.7 mm.

This means the Find X8 might likely weigh under 200 grams. It's also nice to know that it will have a smaller screen for those who find the Find X7 too big. An earlier report said it will be no larger than 6.6 inches in size.
However, the most interesting detail revealed is that despite the trimmings in weight, size, and thickness, the Find X8's battery capacity will be larger than the 5,000mAh capacity of the Find X7. The bigger battery in combination with the smaller screen size should theoretically translate to an improvement in battery life, but we'll have to wait for a review to see if that's the case.
Oppo is yet to announce a launch date for the Find X8 series. However, with the spate of details lately, it shouldn't be too far away.
