Vivo X200 and OPPO Find X8 series to launch as first Dimensity 9400 devices
MediaTek recently announced an October launch for its next-gen flagship SoC, the Dimensity 9400. As is typical, the MediaTek chipset will make its debut around the same period as its Qualcomm rival, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, with a new leak now revealing some more information on it.
As shared by Digital Chat Station, the Dimensity 9400 will first reach consumer hands in the forms of the OPPO Find X8 and Vivo X200 series. While the translation may not be exact, it appears three Vivo X200 series models will arrive with the Dimensity 9400 on board—a currently unnamed compact model, the standard X200, and the X200 Pro. As for the OPPO Find X8 series, it seems the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek chipset.
The Dimensity 9400, like its predecessors, can be expected to compete effectively with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The chipset is tipped to deliver significant NPU improvements—up to 40% more powerful—for better machine learning and AI performance, while also being more efficient than the Dimensity 9300.
